It’s not very often that you have the chance to not only buy back the first carpet you ever sold but also be able to keep it on display in your London showroom. Thankfully, for us, both of these circumstances are true!
Recently Masoud was able to bring back one of the 18 rugs that started Bakhtiyar in the UK, and not only that it was the first rug Bakhtiyar sold in the UK!
Funnily enough the first rug sold by Bakhtiyar in the UK is actually a Bakhtiyar rug from the Central of Persia. The rug is around 80 years old and features the traditional Khesti design that dates back over 700 years and originated in Bakhtiyar.
